Developing critical reading skills: analyzing and evaluating texts with a questioning approach. Different reading methods: skimming, scanning, and in-depth reading. Understanding the role of titles, subtitles, and other text features in guiding comprehension. Reading abstracts effectively to grasp key arguments and summaries. Distinguishing between fact and opinion to assess the credibility of a text. Critically evaluating internet sources for reliability and bias. Finding key points: identifying main ideas, supporting evidence, and arguments. Note-making strategies: the importance of active reading through effective note-taking. 

Практичне завдання 1:
The situation: you are writing an essay on AI further development.
1. Skim the three texts (Reading 1 in the folder) and define: which of them is an academic article, a text book and a popular science article. (Table 2). Describe the level of suitability of each of the sources. Can you use them for your essay?

2. Table 1. Analyze the texts from the academic style perspective. Include the features of the AcStyle we discussed in the warming up.
